Sorting in column views for all types of characteristics

I keep clicking on the column heading to sort (an illustration of HOW IMPORTANT this feature is to me!!!) , unfortunately that often doesn't work
- still with selection features and GENERALLY not
- when SEARCHING, i.e. in filtered views, generally not for ALL self-created features
I've been waiting for this for ages and personally think it's super important!
This is particularly helpful or even necessary when you perform controlling tasks, such as an admin. You put documents in order and see what doesn't fit the structure Outliers can be found quickly because they stand out so quickly - in Excel, you do that all the time
Addition, speaking of Excel
If you could also FILTER the column views, just like in Excel, that would be THE icing on the cake - then you can find everything (all irregularities) in no time - that would be a dream :-)

Hello! Is there a time horizon here for implementing the sorting of selection features? We were recently asked for this feature by two customers. Thank you

For explanation and better comprehension:
It is currently not possible to sort by document types and selection features in the column view. This feature is included in this feature request (from context).
The “automatic” sorting of selection features within the characteristic is described in another feature request. (“Sorting option A-Z for selection features?”)
Jens Büscher
I've made the original text a bit more general. The original text is: “Allow column sorting A-Z even for characteristics with selection fields”
Michael Lüpkes
It would be desirable if, in principle, ALL columns in the list view could be sorted. For example, sorting is currently not possible for the document type and the file extension.

Michael Lüpkes: absolutely - I hadn't even noticed that yet...

Andreas Kläffling
Yes, urgently, it's totally annoying that it doesn't work...
Jens Büscher
Andreas Kläffling: Please don't use emotional expressions (“annoying”), thanks.

Andreas Kläffling
Jens Büscher: All right...
